This sliding wooden gate is extremely large, however, when it is manufactured as a sliding gate it becomes easy to open, the gate simply slides along a track built into the ground. The driveway would need to be level across and this particular gate has been automated by ourselves. Wind resistance is less of an issue when the gate slides, certainly when a gate this large is automated it is far more reliable than swinging.
